Achraf Hakimi has signed a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain, keeping him at the club until 2025.
The Moroccan defender, who joined PSG in 2019 from Ligue 1 side Caen, has been one of the key players for the French giants this season, helping them to win the Ligue 1 title and reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Hakimi's new deal is believed to be worth €18 million per year, making him one of the highest-paid defenders in world football.
"Having Achraf in our team is very important,Ligue 1 Focus" said PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino. "He brings so much experience and quality to our squad."
The 24-year-old has been linked with a move away from PSG in the past, but he has remained committed to the club, despite interest from some of Europe's top clubs.
"I'm happy to sign a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain," Hakimi said. "I want to continue playing for this great club and help them achieve their goals."
With his new deal now in place, Hakimi will be hoping to continue his impressive form for PSG this season and help them challenge for more honours in the coming months.
